We have partnered with a non-profit organization who is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will serve as the lead on all aspects of accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable, account reconciliations, and maintaining strong financial controls in accordance with GAAP. This is a hybrid role!
Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as cash, investments, fixed assets and others on a monthly basisPrepare monthly journal entriesParticipate in the month-end closeResponsible for monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable as well as manage invoices and retro paymentsInvestigate and resolve overpayment balancesReconcile Employee Receivables account and resolve delinquent accountsLead the implementation of the AR module and AR process improvementsAssist with audits throughout the yearComplete annual Welfare Exemption FormsResponsible for annual 1099 filingQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldAt least 4 years of accounting experience requiredStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
