The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks applicants for a tenure-eligible faculty position in the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division. Responsibilities include participation in basic science or clinical research, clinical activities, and associated teaching activities in the Movement Disorders Clinic. Applicants with an interest in establishing, or demonstrated ability sustaining, an effective extramurally funded, and independent research program are encouraged. Rank and tenure status are dependent on qualifications, experience and scholarly achievement.

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division at the University is an interdisciplinary team of movement disorders neurologists, a dedicated nurse practitioner, research coordinators, and collaborating neurosurgeon and neuropsychologists.

Education: MD, DO or equivalent by appointment start date.

Experience: Subspecialty training in movement disorders is required.

Licensure: Board-certified or board-eligible at the time of hire in Neurology.
