The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a Pediatric Otolaryngologist. The candidate will provide and direct clinical care for children with complex head and neck problems as well as treating patients in the outpatient pediatric clinic. An active role in the education and training of medical students and department residents will be expected. This position will be open to Assistant and Associate Professor candidates and open track. Salary, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience and are subject to the School of Medicine Promotion and Tenure guidelines (https://med.virginia.edu/faculty-affairs/advancement/faculty-tracks/) .

Candidates must have a strong interest in a career in academic medicine. Preference will be given to candidates who bring unique clinical expertise and are engaged in teaching and clinical research.

The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is a strong clinical department, composed of senior and junior faculty with diverse interests. There is strong collaboration with disease-specific programs, and our Children’s Hospital has provided the nucleus for significant growth of our pediatric program.

Applicants must have a MD, be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Otolaryngology and have successfully completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the time of hire.
