Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, affiliated with the Children's Hospital of New Mexico, is seeking a board certified or board eligible pediatric infectious disease physician as a third full-time faculty in the Infectious Diseases division. Salary and track will be commensurate with training and experience. UNM offers a flexible career path, with opportunities to participate in clinical research for our clinician-educators, depending on their interests. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a supportive environment.

Our department provides primary care for children in Bernalillo county as well as tertiary care for children from all over New Mexico as well as southern Colorado, eastern Arizona, and west Texas. We provide care for patients with uncomplicated and complicated infections, unusual infections including plague and Hantavirus, and infections in immunocompromised patients with cancer, organ transplants, or rheumatologic illnesses.

Academic rank and track commensurate with experience and skills. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Completion of ABP approved Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases by time of hireBC/BE in Pediatric Infectious DiseaseMust be able to obtain a New Mexico medical licensePreferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience in academic or private practice settings that care for pediatric patientsExperience teaching pediatric residentsA demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
