Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking a Configuration, Change, and Release Manager with extensive knowledge and experience in configuration, change and release management to develop a consolidated approach to each of these important processes. The candidate will assess the current approach in the customer environment, propose a strategy and roadmap to consolidate into one program covering the full scope of NOSC/NCCS, and, based on customer approval, lead the transition to the approved strategy. The candidate will manage a core team responsible for implementing enhanced, standard processes within the overall governance structure of the customer.
For Configuration Management:Establish and maintain configuration management processes to track and control changes to software, hardware, and documentationDefine and manage configuration items, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration baselinesConduct audits to verify compliance with configuration management policiesFor Change Management:
Develop and implement change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruptionsEvaluate and approve/reject change requests, considering potential impacts on systems and workflowsCollaborate with stakeholders to communicate changes and manage expectationsFor Release Management:
Plan and coordinate releases, ensuring timely and efficient deploymentWork closely with engineering and operations teams to schedule release activitiesMonitor release progress, address issues, and provide post-release supportMinimum Qualifications
BA or BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degreeEight (8 plus) years experience in Information TechnologyKnowledge and experience with multiple development methodologiesSignificant process understandingSuccessful track record of working with cross-functional teams involving both engineering and operationsUnderstanding of ITIL Asset and Service Configuration ManagementExperience advancing process maturity and discipline incrementally in line with custom requirements, culture and constraintsUnderstanding of how to optimize automation support for Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release ManagementConfiguration Management (CM) tool knowledgeClearance Requirement: Public Trust clearance or higher; Public Trust clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection preferredDesired Qualifications
