Pediatric Hospitalists are responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, pediatric patients. The Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general pediatric medicine, consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health Doctors, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. When determining a team members compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).Qualifications:Nurse Practitioner:Minimum Education:Masters or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner specialty area required.Minimum Experience:2 (two) years of Experience in a Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) setting preferred.Required Certification/Registration:NY State Medical License required.Active and Unrestricted D.E.A.
