The Senior Technician - Desktop Support position will provide computer and operational support. This position is expected to provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of a moderate and complex nature, and to ensure and assist in timely resolution of user and support issues for the Maximus user community. This position will contribute to team success by sharing knowledge and experience verbally and through documentation of knowledge to the team knowledge-base.

The Senior Technician - Desktop Support position will play a role as a Subject Matter Expert on the Corporate Desktop Services Inventory Control (including Asset Management Database, Shipping and Receiving, Administrative functions for PC imaging (i.e. creating every build checklist)). This position will ensure that tickets are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner and will be the take of ownership for all assigned tickets. This position will perform other tasks and work on projects as they may be assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:• Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, and other peripherals and related hardware, as well as remote access devices• Use remote desktop software to provide remote support and resolve issues for users whom may be at remote offices or home office users• Use moderate to advance troubleshooting knowledge to diagnose, resolve, and follow up on issues relating to various user concerns• Assist in troubleshooting advanced technical issues within the network, mainframe, and telecommunications environments, especially as they relate to problems at the workstation level• Provide written updates for problem resolution for knowledge bases, troubleshooting manual(s), or supported on-line documentation products• Assist in maintaining software and workstation inventory management, participate in defining Company endpoint hardware standards. Assist in PC imaging as needed.• Identify areas deserving attention in the Corporate Desktop Services environment, and consult with management to build upon or repair situations

Education/Requirements:• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted• Minimum (5) years of specialized related experience required• Advanced knowledge supporting Microsoft products• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and 10• Advanced Microsoft Office suite 03, 07, 10 and 13, O365• Advanced knowledge of Outlook 03, 07, 10 and 13, O365• Advanced trouble shooting skills• Imaging computers using SCCM• Ability to recognize issues caused by enterprise policies (GPO and LPO)• Ability to troubleshoot VOIP phones• Experience configuring and setting up Network printers• Advanced customer service skills working with customers• Strong verbal and writing skills• Advanced ability to convey technical information to non-technical users both verbally and in writing• Ability to effectively work within a team framework and structure• Ability to uphold and enforce company, enterprise and team policies and procedures

• Preferred qualifications include:Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft MCDST or MCSA Windows 7 or higher; experience with trouble shooting network issues; and advanced experience with Microsoft SCCM,

Physical Requirements:• Ability to work in an office environment• Ability to sit for up to 70% of time• Ability to lift or carry objects up to 30 lbs.• Frequent use of computer, telephone, and office equipment (copier, fax, scanner)Education and Experience Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, fax machines, scanners, and other PC peripherals and related hardware, as well as remote access devices.- Use remote desktop software to provide remote support and resolve issues for users whom may be at remote offices or home office users.- Use moderate to advance troubleshooting knowledge to diagnose, resolve, and follow up on issues relating to various user concerns.- Assist in troubleshooting advanced technical issues within the network, mainframe, and telecommunications environments, especially as they relate to problems at the workstation level.- Provide written updates for problem resolution for knowledge bases, troubleshooting manual(s), or supported on-line documentation products.- Assist the network and architecture teams with maintaining, upgrading, and configuring enterprise network and architecture solutions and software update distributions.- Serve as a technical liaison to project managers.- Assist in providing support to project managers to integrate and transition projects or new technology efforts to the production support environment.- Assist in maintaining software and workstation image management, including the use of image deployment software to perform imaging tasks for workstations.- Identify areas deserving attention in the technical support environment, and consult with management to build upon or repair situations.
