Assessing the patient's physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment planGiving advice and providing support for family members and CarersAssessing the home, school and work environments of the patientInstalling the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipmentHelping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstancesAssisting patients' exercise for pain reliefReviewing the patient's progress and adapting the treatment accordinglyPerforming administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone callsHave the following skills:
PatienceEmpathy and compassionCommunication and interpersonal skillsObservational and analytical skillsProblem-solving skillsTeamwork skillsRequirements:Minimum of 1 year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.Must have passed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam.
