This full-time employee is responsible forcollection of specimens for lab testing on inpatients, outpatients, emergencyroom and clinic patients. ThePhlebotomist is responsible for application of learned techniques necessary toobtain quality specimens to aid the techs in reliable results. The Phlebotomist will be responsible fordeveloping computer skills for the Laboratory Information System and complyingwith all regulatory requirements, including Lab Compliance. This positionrequires adept social skills and compassion. Assecretarial relief, this employee is responsible for distributionof lab reports, filing, ordering supplies, handling drug screen accounts andpaperwork, and registering Home Health patients.
