Job role: Director of Sales
The client is seeking a dynamic and proven Director of Sales to help continue our growth and expansion. This role will oversee all sales operations and be a vital member of our leadership team.
Responsibilities
Leadership
Development, communication and accountability for sales targets for the company and team members, including results, KPI's and action plans.Benchmark and develop sales funnel targets for activities and KPIs.Lead weekly sales meetings to increase communication and accountability. Participate in Company leadership meetings as required.
Development
Develop SOP's for sales related activities.Review and enhance sales training program.Institute development and mentoring program.Hire, train, motivate and mentor team members.Identify needs and provide continuous education for yourself and team members.
Sales
Accountable for sales for selected Key Accounts.Ensure sales goal attainment for team members.Sales forecastingBusiness development, establish leads and generate business (hunter).Relationship management, nurture important account relationships.Management of 3rd party direct to consumer online marketplaces (i.e. Amazon)Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base.
Strategy
Review and enhance sales strategy, including but not limited to channel, customer, market pricing and strategic partner strategies.Inbound sales strategy.Outbound sales strategy.Direct to consumer strategy.Develop 3-year plan by market segment.
Requirements And Skills
BS/MS degree in business administration or a relevant industry experience.Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.Strong business sense and industry expertise.Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.Five or more years of experience in managing sales. Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
