Introduction to the team

The Senior Business Analyst brings strong analytical expertise to projects to elicit business needs from the customer in order to help determine solutions to complex business problems. They are responsible for the development and management of business and technical requirements. They will assist with product assessments, testing, training, and communication. The Senior Business Analyst is a primary within our IT Product Line Groups, and acts as a liaison between IT and various teams across the firm. Collaborating with the technical team(s), they will develop technical solutions for business needs, including engaging with automation and AI -based tools, Governance and controlling bodies, project management execution, and product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Utilize strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into business and technical requirementsCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understandingServe as the conduit between the customer community (including internal and external customers), users, business teams, and technical teams to establish the business and technical vision; analyze and document tradeoffs between complexity, usability and performance needsAssist with testing by owning the User Acceptance Testing process (UAT) and contributing to the testing phase of a project by supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) team for various testing activitiesAssist with training and communication activities such as developing and delivering end user documentation, quick guides, training plans, training materials, and communication media; serve as a liaison between Corporate Communications, Learning and Development, and project teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience required; experience within IT organizations with exposure to the full system implementation life cycle preferred; experience in a professional services environment preferredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)Experience leading requirements identification and prioritization efforts for mid-large scale business or technology projectsDemonstrated ability to collect and interpret business data and assess for trends, patterns and correlationsExperience in system design, functional specification development, and test requirement documentationExperience with developing training plans and conducting trainingProven ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and create deliverables with little directionProficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio); familiarity with OneNote and SharePoint required; familiarity with a requirement management system preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others at all levels of the organization; the ability to interact professionally with a multi-disciplinary groupsAbility to travel as needed, approximately 5%
