Introduction to the team

The HR Generalist plays a key role in our people efforts. As a champion of the Moss Adams culture and values, the HR Generalist drives the firm’s People Cornerstone strategies and shows passion for partnering with our leaders to grow our business. This position provides proactive insight, guidance, and support to leaders and employees in the Tax Specialty Group within the Consulting region. The HR Generalist brings innovative leadership, makes data-driven decisions, and serves as a trusted business advisor. Responsibilities

Plan and implement people strategies aligned with business objectives.Oversee people processes and HR transactions such as onboarding, exits, performance management, employee engagement, compensation and bonus administration and flexible work arrangements.Partner with business leaders on talent management, including coaching and consultation, project evaluations, performance reviews, talent review meetings and upward feedback.Champion the Moss Adams culture and values by connecting with employees, identifying and surfacing employee and organizational issues, addressing concerns and providing HR thought leadership and support for employees and business leaders.Provide HR support and consultation to the business, answering employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items (Performance, Compensation, career goals, etc.).Provide support and guidance to employees and managers in the resolution of employee relations issues, support investigations, and document information as needed.Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of employment laws and trends.Identify opportunities to improve processes, innovate, and lead or serve as an SME on team-wide projects focused on process or program improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of related experience required; professional services industry experience preferred.PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status).Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and outstanding client service orientation; ability to interact with people at all levels, develop rapport and influence others.Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to own and drive project schedule from start to finish, including managing peers and individuals senior to you.Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills.Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills; ability to identify business needs or process improvement suggestions and communicate suggestions to leadership or others as appropriate.Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint). Experience with an HRIS preferred.Intermediate knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%.
