If you’re excited to be part of a winning team, Green Street is a place to grow your career.ResponsibilitiesAssist the VP, Corporate Controller and Accounting Manager with the following duties:Perform month-end close, including preparing journal entries, bank and account reconciliations, roll forwards, accrual workbooks and financial statements.Ensure that corporate credit cards and bank accounts are reconciled on a timely basis and that reconciling items are identified and accurately documented.Assist with reviewing Green Street’s annual financial statements and footnote disclosure, and preparing documentation support to external auditors.Assist in coordination of external audit for Green Street and its affiliates.Ensure that A/P bills are properly approved, paid in a timely manner and expenses are properly classified.Manage and review tasks completed by overseas Accounting employees.Review and reconcile the Company’s monthly state sales tax filings and perform physical and economic nexus analysis to determine potential liability in new U.S. states.Liaise between the Accounting Department and various other departments to gather or provide information (i.e., Advisory, Sales, Human Resources, Technology).Assist in ad-hoc reporting/projects for management and Senior Leadership Team.Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis.Track and maintain fixed assets.Review employee expense reimbursement reports and ensure payments are in accordance with company policy.Manage SAP Concur system for travel and expenses reimbursement.Complete U.S. Census Bureau survey requests.File annual IRS 1099 forms.Perform monthly revenue variance analysis.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required. CPA preferred.3-5 years experience in all aspects of accounting, with at least 2 years of public accounting experience required.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including mastering Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs and Graphs.Prior experience with NetSuite is a plus.Analytical—the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information.Problem solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.Delegation—the individual delegates work assignments, gives authority to work independently, sets expectations and monitors delegated activities.Quality management—the individual looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Judgment—the individual displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment and makes timely decisions.Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.Self-starter—must have the ability to problem solve and self-initiate processes with limited guidance.Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements.Working Conditions:

The Senior Accountant will work indoors in an air-conditioned office building and must be able to remain stationary at a desk and computer for a majority of the day.Travel Percentage:
