About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on accounting professional who can help enhance our monitoring and reporting procedures to support timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. A very strong accounting background is critical, including audit support and technical knowledge of GAAP, along with an eagerness to shape best practices in a fast-growing startup environment.
This role will report to the Director of Accounting.
This is a full-time hybrid role with company benefits based out of Marina Del Rey, CA.
The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $110,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rates.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for company’s financial record-keeping and regulatory complianceDevelop procedures for accurate, timely and reliable financial monitoringSupport monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportingCollaborate with Director of Finance to support financial planning & analysisKey contact for ongoing work with external auditors and project leader for year-end auditBuild out accounting practice in NetSuite, with particular focus on in-house manufacturing, DTC, and retail operations.Rigorously measure and report on KPIs on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
About You:
7+ years of experience, including:Accounting / audit experience at public accounting / audit firmCompany-level accounting experienceProfessional experience with in-house manufacturing and/or DTC eCommerce/RetailCPAWorking knowledge of NetSuiteMastery of financial accountingBachelor's degreeHighly quantitative and analytical with excellent problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsInterest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industriesExperience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferredExperience with AP a plusExperience with cost accounting a plusSomeone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgencySomeone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcomeSomeone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
