THE ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT is a strategic leadership role within the global IT Applications team, whose mission is to increase Imperva’s competitive advantage through the use of information technology. This role will lead a team of highly skilled business systems platform and full stack developers. In addition to the leadership responsibilities, the Enterprise Architect will combine a deep understanding of business applications, integrations, business process, and industry best practices to design scalable, interconnected, flexible and secure systems.

This is a full-time position based in the Redwood Shores, CA headquarters office and will report to the Sr Director, IT Applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Imperva’s enterprise architecture framework to ensure current and new business systems are deployed in a scalable, interconnected, flexible and secure manner.

Attract, motivate and lead a team of highly technical and syste-ms-minded individuals.

Own the integrations strategy for all business systems to streamline business and technical processes.

Architect and maintain a standard enterprise BI reporting solution across all core business systems that deliver actionable insights and visibility into business operations.

Act as a thought leader on industry trends and emerging technologies related to enterprise architecture.

Partner with various department heads to ensure robust and scalable solutions are being deployed.

Work closely with other solution and domain architects to establish architecture standards, policies and governance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.

8+ years of industry experience, with a focus on deploying and integrating business systems.

4+ years of architect-level experience.

3+ years leadership experience.

Expert level understanding of REST, SOAP API web services.

Practical knowledge and experience implementing enterprise integration patterns using Java or C#.

Prior hands-on experience with a leading Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS).

Deep knowledge of Salesforce and NetSuite (and the related application ecosystems).

Broad knowledge of business processes related to front and back-end systems.

Prior experience with enterprise BI tool architecture and administration.

Balances both strong analytical skills and big picture capabilities in problem-solving approaches.

Ability to establish and manage priorities in a high pace change environment required.

Ability to explain complex issues in clear, simple terms to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
