Mid-sized women-owned education law firm with statewide practice representing school and community college districts seeks an attorney to join its Litigation and Board Ethics, Transparency and Accountability practice groups. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of experience, including the below qualifications:Representation of public entities in litigation including in civil writsExperience with governance and accountability issues including open meeting and public records requirementsExcellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skillsFlexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entitiesExperience presenting before governing boards, preferredPrior school district representation is a plusAdmission to the California State Bar
The expected salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
