Position Description
Support and manage next generation firewall technologies within a sensitive data computer network enclave.
Assist with specifying firewall products, installing firewall & security products, managing configurations, continued support of firewall systems throughout the projects steady state operations.
Firewall & Security products in use or interest, include; F5 Big-IP, Checkpoint, Cisco, Dell or Fortinet.
Maintain best practices routines with regards to routine DISA STIG reviews, product firmware/software updates, configuration, security mitigation and other actions to maintain vendor compliance and support options.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience with LAN/WAN hardware
Expertise in TCP/IP Configurations, FTP, Active Directory, LAN/VLAN/WAN Configuration, DHCP/DNS/Domain Controller
Strong working knowledge network infrastructure, security requirements, and processes
Ability to interact with team members at all levels, including business operations, technology, and management Experience with CISCO, Juniper, Palo Alto, Load Balancing, Cable and Rack Management
Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting, engineering, network architecture and maintaining components of Enterprise network
Well versed in IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Multi-link Point2Point, DHCP, SNMP, TCP, UDP
Candidate must:
Be a US Citizen and be clearable
Have excellent communication skills
Be detail oriented and highly organized
Self-starter who truly enjoys a fast-paced and innovative environment
