**Rockley Photonics****Capital Equipment Buyer****1000-Operations - Pasadena, CA - Full Time*****POSITION SUMMARY***Rockley Photonics is a fast growing, pre-IPO technology company primarily located in Pasadena, CA, with teams across the globe and throughout the U.S. We are looking to add a Capital Equipment Buyer. This role will be responsible for procuring capital equipment for labs and manufacturing processes at Rockley. The candidate will be responsible for successfully executing procurement activities for capital projects, coordination with internal stakeholders, as well as negotiating contracts and services with Suppliers. Experience and knowledge in fab manufacturing and equipment and supply chain required. Operational excellence self-motivation, organization and effective communication skills are a must.***MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES*****This list is not all inclusive. Additional duties will be assigned as needed.** Planning and execution of near- and long-term global Capital purchases (Tools, Services and spare parts);* Develop and Execute Capital Equipment sourcing process with continuous improvement to the overall procurement process;* Works closely with Engineering stakeholders/Project Managers and provides guidance in supplier and tool selection process;* Complex strategic negotiations of all commercial terms including pricing, delivery of documents and equipment, INCO terms, warranty terms, installation requirements and services, payment terms (including progress payments);* Leads/Owns the RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) for capital equipment purchases with suppliers in support of the project/team requirements;* Develop metrics, analyze data to assess Supplier performance and implement improvements;* Expedites/coordinates deliveries of equipment and services within project schedule/deadlines;* Integration of forecast with sales, marketing, operations, and finance to define company Capital tool requirements. Support annual budgeting;* Support procurement department as needed;***EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**** High school diploma or equivalent required. BA degree desired.* Minimum 5 years Capital equipment purchasing experience.* Firm understanding of semiconductor equipment, manufacturing and process flows desired.* Ability to maintain effective working relationships.* Knowledge of MS Word and Excel* Familiarity with using an ERP, MRP, Purchasing Database* Strong written, oral and communication skills* Competencies for Role: Assertiveness, Negotiation, Responsibility, Diligence, Attention to detail, Good communication* Organizational Competencies: Teamwork, Persistence/Resilience, Pro-Active, Quick Learner*This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements.**This position requires access to information protected under US export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
