Buyer/Planner

Location: Streetsboro, OH, US****Join Hiabs journey to inspire and shape the future of intelligent load handling****We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our journey and support our Streetsboro, OH facility. The Buyer/Planner will have responsibility for material planning and replenishment, production planning of assembly lines and ensuring material availability to enable Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery of goods to minimize inventory levels****Main Tasks and responsibilities:***** Plans and schedules workflow for each assembly line and work center assigned* Revises schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment* Creates and maintains shop orders and distributes to departments, denoting number, type, and required completion date of units to be produced* Confers with department supervisors and/or line leads to determine progress of work, inventory transactions are occurring and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from engineering departments* Responsible for requisitioning materials and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments according to job order priorities and supplier lead times* Expedites production of materials with supply base as needed to ensure timely delivery to meet expected service level* Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment* Convert and communicate demand & forecast requirements for materials into detailed plans and schedules for inventory acquisition* Calculate key inventory performance metrics such as turnover ratios, cost-benefit trade-offs, days of inventory on hand, labor productivity and inventory valuation
