you will be responsible for the negotiation, execution, management of FMD License Agreement with our Licensor. You will be responsible for performance improvement of specific purchased materials, equipment and/or services that support FMD business goals and objectives rewarding price control/cost reductions, delivery performance, service, and quality expectations. You will be the in charge of developing and executing strategies around FMD License Agreement and other key program suppliers. Comply with policies and procedures to ensure appropriate internal controls are followed in compliance with government regulations. The most successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of multi-taskings in a face paced environment which requires a high degree of self-motivation, problem solving and independent thinking.Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Execute and generate compliant purchase orders based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of services and materialsPerform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activitiesReconcile supplier problems including aiding in supplier root cause and corrective action, non-conformance control and supplier accountability and responsiveness.Solicit bids, negotiate pricing and terms and conditions, maintain lead time data integrity and process price requests to marketing in a timely manner.Work with Sales, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure proper scope of work and key engineering/ quality deliverables are flowed to suppliers.Work within a team environment and perform other purchasing functions as required.Manage any supplier issues (i.e., cost, quality, delivery, customer service)Initiate and follow through on supplier changes through FME’s Engineering Change ProcessServe as the primary contact between company personnel and FME’s Licensor and other key suppliers.Maintain sound professional relationships with suppliers. Resolve issues (e.g. pricing, quality, timing, claims, contract disputes, etc.) associated with terms and conditions of service agreements

.Evaluate suppliers through business reviews with objective and data driven performance measurements. This includes but is not limited to cost reduction projects, delivered quality, service performance and overall stability of supplier operations to minimize supply chain risk.Initiate and lead new source approval processes for new parts and resources parts.Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company.Qualifications, Skills, and Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent experience in a related field7+ years of experience in Purchasing and some experience with Program Management is preferred.Must possess strong organizational skills and have demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer relations skills.Experience in an MRP buyer/planner environmentCompetence in the use of Windows, Microsoft Office, experience with Oracle ERP system a plusProficiency in financial data analysis for reporting and decision-making. Knowledge of price and cost analysisAbility to understand military specs and read blueprints.Ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc.Intimate knowledge with FAR’s and DFAR’s and proven ability to initiate contract flow downs to key suppliers.Proven Ability to create and execute a sound commodity strategy.Lean manufacturing implementation skills a plusTravel: 15%
