We are seeking a remote Business Development Manager (BDM) to prospect for new clients, plan persuasive approaches, develop trust and rapport with new clients, and maintain partner relationships for our client's growing team. Our client is a Charlotte-based company that delivers human capital management software-as-a-service (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities:• Prospect for new clients using various means of generating interest, such as networking, cold calling, and advertising.• Develop persuasive approaches and solutions focused on the needs of the prospect that will convince them to do business with the company.• Build trust and rapport with new clients and work closely with the team to improve the relationship continually.• Interface with mid and senior-level management, marketing, and technical staff to ensure that the company hears the needs of the market and competition.• Develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the organization through strategic planning.• Establish and maintain strong partner relationships to maintain the organization's competitive advantage.• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the market, solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company's competitors.

Requirements:• Bachelor's degree is required.• At least 2+ years of successful experience in the Payroll Industry.• Polished and articulate communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of a corporation.• Successful track record of hunting and qualifying business in a previous role.• Built a book of business in a previous role, ideally including CPAs and Insurance Brokers.• Successful track record of maintaining relationships with clients after the initial sell in a previous role.• Tech-savvy and comfortable doing software demonstrations.• Team player, both internally and externally.• Has successfully utilized a CRM system in a previous role.

Salary and Benefits:The base salary ranges between $60-75k plus commissions (at least $125k in the first year overall) and an annual residual income. This is a full-time, permanent position that includes a $6k car allowance, 95% company benefits, and other perks.
