Sales Manager - Business Travel, Leisure & Entertainment

Duties are as follows but not limited to:

Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed business travel revenue goals through telephone prospecting,outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.Maintain all Consortia accounts and documentation:· American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts· Virtuoso· Signature Travel· Travellermade

o Assist CMO in managing consortia relationships and ensure portals are consistently updated with latest offers and promotions (Amex FHR, Virtuoso, Signature, Travellermade)

Attend Preferred Roadshows, TradeshowsAttend Virtuoso Travel WeekAdvanced level of producing business transient revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales.Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients.Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments’ participation in servicing accounts•Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.•Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers.•Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.•Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.•Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.•Perform any other job related duties as assigned.Fully develop Corporate Transient market segments (ESP, Consortia, BAR)

o Achieve room night and revenue goals for all three segments.

o Emphasize higher rated, less price sensitive business traveling on shoulder days of the week, as prescribed by individual hotels.

o Maintain weekly telephone and outside solicitation, travel agency presentations.

o Track all accounts daily including Consortia,

o Participated in weekly marketing and rooms merchandising meetings, bi-weekly sales meetings, monthly forecast meetings

o Book and service all Entertainment Group

o Resumes for BT VIP’s, Entertainment, and key leisure guests

o responsible for identifying and sourcing leisure/transient leads

o Organize and schedule direct sales efforts via phone, email, and in-person

o Evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of leisure business

o Support and participate in daily calls and property-specific calls as needed

o Accurately maintain and build the Salesforce database of clients

o Establish appropriate remote workstation, be responsive; phone calls are to be returned the same day and RFP’s have a 24-hour response time

o Maintain ethical and professional standards of sales service

o Maintain professional appearance and demeanor with a mature and professional manner

o Ability to travel and work flexible days and hours

o Plan and execute sales trips on budget and in compliance with corporate travel policy

o Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned

Job Requirements

o Bachelor’s degree preferred.

o 5+ years of past sales experience preferred

o Luxury Hotel experience preferred.

o Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel.

o Negotiate, convince, sell, and influence transient / group business decision-makers and influencers

o Sell ideas persuasively and energetically

o Self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal direct supervision

o Knowledge of sales procedures associated with the hotel industry

o Strong computer skills (preference in Google Suite, LinkedIn, Salesforce, MS Office Suite)

o Excellent English verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to produce quality sales and marketing communication

o Ability to present clear, concise, and meaningful information to multiple stakeholders, in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization

o Strong listening skills

o At least four years’ experience working in for a luxury resort in the leisure and social group sales capacity

o Broad knowledge of all aspects of high-end hotel operations

o Ability to travel via car, air, train; must possess driver’s license and passport to travel internationally
