Summary

The Sales Manager will be required to develop leads and originate mortgage loans and respond to referrals from branch personnel and other sources. Additionally, candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of mortgage regulations and processes as well as products and services to cultivate trustworthy relationships with customers. The Sales Manager must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, exercise independent judgment and comprehend complex instructions, technical and financial materials and forms related to mortgage loans.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe primary job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Promote Envoy's products by engaging in local community activities and organizations to develop new business; Develop relationships with real estate professionals, homebuilders, and other referral sources to generate qualified mortgage leadsKeep informed of trends, changes and developments in the local real estate marketRequest and gather relevant information/documents from the borrower to complete the application, its structure and all loan disclosures, in coordination with processing as well as underwritingAdhere to all Envoy standards, including, but not limited to production minimums and customer serviceEducate borrowers on current offerings and programs for which they qualifyMonitor the process and communicate effectively with the borrower and all other parties to the transaction on the status of the loanPresent complete and accurate files to the ProcessorCoordinate the flow of information to all concerned partiesStay current with required continuing education, new products, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae guidelines, Envoy guidelines and overlays, and HUD guidelinesStay current on personal finance principles to offer comprehensive mortgage advice to clientsEnsure maintenance of a current license to perform loan origination functionsComply with local, state and federal laws regarding positionConduct business in an ethical manner and in the best interest of Envoy, with Envoy's core values in mindEnsure all marketing is performed in a manner that is compliantParticipate in and contribute to Company training initiatives as neededLearn leadership and management best practices from Branch Manager and SVPSupport branch sales staff: reviewing scenarios, file structure options, pipeline management and problem solvingRecruit, hire, mentor, and manage Loan Originator staff in accordance with company and industry standards. This includes training and mentoring in areas such as product knowledge and sales trainingSupervise and mentor 1-3 originatorsMay work more than 50% of the time out the office and is primarily commission-basedAdditional responsibilities as assignedTHIS JOB DESCRIPTION IS NOT INTENDED TO BE ALL-INCLUSIVE. Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree is preferredFive (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in mortgage origination, with 2+ years in a sales leadership role, preferredIn-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage processes, procedures, and documentationWorking knowledge / Proficiency in Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator (DU/DO), Loan Prospector (LP), and originating systems, Encompass experience preferredDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookSuccess in growing sales and revenue goals (must be verifiable)Exceptional follow-up, time management, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to learn, self- motivated, social media savvy and a forward thinkerExcellent customer service skills and working in a team environmentMust be a self-starter who is reliable, detail oriented and the ability to resolve issuesMust have NMLS and SAFE, UST, preferred, or able to obtain applicable State NMLS license within 30 - 90 days of employment or employment will be terminatedSatisfactorily pass background checkPhysical/Mental Requirements
