Responsibilities You will assist with the review of procurement documents to determine completeness, regulatory and policy compliance, and the suitability of using simplified acquisition procedures versus contracting procedures. You will determine the extent of competition required, the appropriate procurement methodology, the most suitable contract line-item number structure, and the terms and conditions applicable to the procurement. You will prepare procurement documentation that complies with applicable statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements. You will perform basic post-award administration actions, including modifications, option exercises, price, quantity, or delivery changes, and cancellations. You will perform market research to determine procurement history and the availability of sources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience, of which one year must be equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with gathering technical data related to contracts, production, or purchasing/procurement activities. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education may be substituted for the experience above. The substitution of education is as follows: 4-year course of study leading to a Bachelor's Degree. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
