REPORTS TO: Woodshop Supervisor
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Woodshop Supervisor or Lead, the Framer is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly of wood frames using a variety of hand tools and power tools. Framers are required to work forty hours a week and flexible for overtime as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives cut hardwood/chipboard from machine operator.Reads diagrams of styles and sku's to determine appropriate procedures for attaching partsOperates hand tools and large staple guns for an extended period of timeCount and report rejected parts (notify assistant supervisor)Sorts wood in order to assemble furniture frameConduct quality check to finished frameClean and maintain work areaKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools including staple gunsAbility to work independentlyFlexibility to work a changing work schedule according to production demandsAbility to work collaboratively with all departmentsAttention to detail and qualityAbility to work in cold and hot environments (non-climate controlled)Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift a minimum 50 lbs.Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment includingProtective eyewear, ear plugs and safety gloves as requiredAbility to read diagrams and drawingsAbility to read a tape measureBenefits
