Zobility
NVH CAE Supervisor
Zobility, Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States,
Responsibilities:
Maintain a team of NVH engineers to perform NVH sub-system analysis for Body/Chassis/Powertrain Vehicle NVH CAE Supervisor responsible for NVH CAE analysis of the full vehicle, subsystems and components. Work towards meeting vehicle targets within program milestone timelines The group is an integral part of the product development group, including daily interaction with product design, testing and functional development engineers Build trimmed body, suspension and exhaust FEA models for simulation purpose using Hypermesh or ANSA Good knowledge of vehicle structures and NVH sub-system analysis for Body/Chassis/Powertrain Perform normal modes, frequency response and transient analyses to identify issues and resolutions. Develop design solutions to address NVH issues. Work closely with vehicle development teams, NVH labs, & design teams to identify and resolve issues and optimize the structure for weight/cost. Perform transfer path analysis to root cause dominant paths and contributions to NVH performance issues. Expert in running NASTRAN (linear) solver to conduct NVH and stress analyses. NVH Assessments including but not limited to; normal modes, attachment point equivalent stiffness, point mobility, etc Use multi-disciplinary optimization tools such as Hyperstudy/ Isight for combining analyses from various codes Familiar with OptiStruct to conduct non-parametric design optimization, such as topology, shape, and gauge optimization Review analyses results from the team before sign-off and approval and communicate findings and recommendations to various engineering organizations. Able to follow and guide NVH testing based on simulations and set targets based on competitive set if data not available for surrogate vehicles. Stay abreast of latest CAE/simulation tools, methods and processes in the field of NVH analyses.
