As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing products, materials, or processes to ensure they meet quality standards. You'll work closely with production teams, quality managers, and other stakeholders to maintain consistent quality throughout the organization.Duties/Responsibilities:Inspection and Testing: Perform inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. Use various measuring tools, gauges, and equipment to assess functionality, and performance.Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identify and report any non-conformities, defects, or deviations from established requirements. Recommend corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality issues.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality assurance activities. Prepare inspection reports, quality metrics, and documentation to communicate findings and ensure traceability. Collaborate with the quality team to generate comprehensive reports for management.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, quality enhancement, and cost reduction. Provide feedback and suggestions to manufacturing teams regarding potential production processes, materials, or equipment to optimize quality and efficiency.Compliance and Standards: Stay updated with industry regulations, quality standards (such as Six Sigma), and customer requirements applicable to the organization. Ensure compliance with these standards and participate in daily audits.Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues, defects, or failures. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify corrective actions, implement preventive measures, and continuously improve quality processes.Training and Support: Provide training and support to production employees on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in quality inspection methodologies. Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.Basic understanding of dock, and warehouse procedures.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
