Position Overview

Boasting an impressive legacy of over thirty-five years, they are presently in search of a dynamic Job Captain who shares their commitment and enthusiasm for healthcare design. Their current projects involve tenant improvement healthcare projects for esteemed clients, including Children's Hospital, Cedar Sinai, and Emanate Health. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the coordination of architectural projects from conception to completion.Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure project goals and timelines are met.Contribute to the design development process, translating conceptual ideas into practical and functional design solutions.Create and review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for Design Development.Lead the development of construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.Prepare and review detailed drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for Construction Documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and contractors, fostering effective communication and coordination.Stay current with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards to ensure project compliance.Integrate code requirements into the design and construction documentation processes.Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of architectural deliverables.Conduct regular reviews and audits of project documentation.Support the construction administration phase, addressing on-site issues, reviewing submittals, and ensuring adherence to design intent.Collaborate with contractors and project managers during the construction phase.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development.Assist in the development and management of project budgets and schedules.Monitor project progress and timelines, identifying and addressing potential issues.Maintains ongoing communications to understand any project changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact the initial assignmentReview drawings, documents, and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance.Keeps lead architect or designated team leader informed of progress; recognizes problem issues and communicates impact to the team and seeks clarity when necessary.Meets project design schedule and design construction budgets.Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in ArchitectureMinimum 4-5 years of experienceInterest in working on healthcare projects types in a very collaborative environmentProficiency in Revit & AutoCAD required; experience with SketchUp, Enscape, and other graphic tools desiredStrong 2D and 3D graphic skills desiredHealthcare experience and OSHPD/HCAI or DSA experience are highly desirable
