Summary:
Rapidly growing consumer product goods (CPG) client is seeking an experienced Corp. Controller with hands on experience in driving change and developing strategic indicatives.
Responsibilities :Oversee day-to-day financial and accounting operationsPosition will have blended finance and accounting responsibilitiesPerform accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports; accounts payable, receivable and assist in improvements of policies and procedures.Create monthly financial statements, managing P&LReconciling bank recs, credit cards, prepaids, and fixed assetsPrepares, reviews or approves account reconciliations for corporation' s entities and accounts, as requiredManage corporate taxes (with outsourced vendor) and ensure compliance with sales/use/other tax requirements and filingsReview post-consolidation entries and oversee all intercompany processes and reconciliations including resolution of intercompany imbalances.Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions including general ledger and financial systems to ensure compliance.Design, implement and participate in projects and activities to support company growth through process improvement activities.Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; and provide budget to actual variance reporting.Present quarterly financial results and updates on process improvements and control initiatives to Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.Supports external audit inquiries and periodic close processes.Qualifications :
8 -15+ years of GL experience (3+ years at the Controller ship level)CPABig 4 or Mid-Tier public audit experience (highly preferred)CPG experienceAdvanced knowledge of Excel
