Looe Key Reef Resort is looking for housekeepers to join our staff. We are looking for people with positive attitude, have attention to detail and strive for perfection for our hotel guests stay. Experience is also a plus but not necessary.
Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning hotel rooms, restaurant restrooms, as well as the Dive Shop areas.
The house keeper cleans and maintains all corridors and public areas and assists room attendants with supplies, linens and removal of trash.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.Wash walls and ceiling, move furniture and turn mattress.Sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floor.Dust and polish metalwork.Dust and clean pictures, baseboards, doors & frames, light fixtures, stairwells, etc... (hallways)Collect soiled linen from each housekeeping cart.Collect all garbage from housekeeping carts.Maintain hallways clear and free of debris.Remove trash collected by room attendants.Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect bags, newspapers, trash, soiled linen, etc.Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen in pantry.Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor.Help the room attendants with the heavy lifting when deep cleaning / spring cleaning of rooms.Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.Remove soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service areas.Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors/management.Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other associates.Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors/management as and when neededQualifications:
Ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift, pull and push moderate weight (minimum of 50 lbs.)Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
