Job Description

Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the preparation, organization, and submission of drawings related to transportation and related infrastructure projects. Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design. Manage the development of contract documents and ensure that quality control procedures are followed throughout the plan development process. Assist the Project Manager to ensure the project remains on-budget and on-schedule within the scope of work. Independently manage and lead company projects in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area. Working knowledge of industry standards and requirements. Participate in business development and project pursuits

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Specific knowledge of transportation-related infrastructure design for a highly urban setting, including but not limited to roadways, streetscapes, storm water systems, and erosion and sediment control

8+ years relevant post education experience delivering technical engineering services for infrastructure projects

PE (Professional Engineer) certification.

Proficient in departments of transportation procedures.

Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to communicate clearly via phone, email, and in person to internal and external clients.
