The Sr. Estimator / Estimator (title commensurate with experience) will be responsible for providing accurate and complete estimates for projects based on company historical costs and project-specific considerations, primarily in civil, energy, and concrete markets. This individual will maintain a working knowledge of industry related costs and will develop costing data based on new construction technology, innovations, and market trends. This individual will also establish and maintain contacts with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to ensure maximum knowledge and competitiveness of estimate and will provide budgets and lump sum estimates for construction of assigned projects.ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES

Review and analyze bid documents and evaluate jobsite conditions.Prepare and execute subcontractor and material supplierReview area labor agreements for work rule and wagePrepare quantity take-offs and pricing as applicable to project scope ofDevelop means and methods, productivity, and pricing for self-perform work (typically civil and concrete competencies) - consult with project managers and superintendents as neededPrepare preliminary project schedule and pre-planningPrepare project General Conditions costs for review with senior leadership.Consult, coordinate, and summarize subcontractors and material supplier's scopes ofPrepare final bid compilationCoordinate and compile finalPrepare post bid information and summaryPrepare scope comparison sheets, purchase schedules and preliminary cost book on successful estimates and review with project management team.BEHAVIORAL TRAITS, ATTITUDES, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
