** World Class Industries Inc**** Shipping and Receiving Clerk**Des Moines, IA 50317**Compensation -** Starting wage $18-$20/hr depending on experience; annual bonus depending on profitability of the company, 401k participation first of the month following hire date; full health benefits (free medical for single coverage), life and disability insurance.**Mission:**The core mission of a Shipping Clerk will be performing packing and shipping of orders. This position will complete material transactions in a timely manner. In addition, participate in cycle counts and managing inventory activities.**Essential Functions:*** Alignment with Corporate Values: All World Class employees are expected to perform their work in a manner that exhibits understanding and adherence to the Company Mission and Core Values of World Class Industries. Further, each employee must read and adhere to corporate policies and safety protocol.* Ships orders* Operates lift truck, weigh scales, sealer, pallet jacks, etc as needed* Manages the inventory system electronically* Relocates products as needed both physically and electronically* Reports, analyzes, and works to resolve errors in inventory* Lifting 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10-15 lbs. of force frequently* Performs other duties as assigned**Education:*** High school diploma or GED (required)**Experience:*** Prior forklift certification or equivalent experience (preferred)* Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (required)**Physical Requirements:**Exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10-15 lbs. of force frequently*Constant (67%-100% of work day)** Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.* Standing: maintaining an upright position.* Lifting: raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.* Repetitive Motion: substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.* Pushing/Pulling: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.*Frequent (34-66% of work day)** Walking: moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.* Bending: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.* *Occasional (33% or less of work day)** Using Fingers/Grasping/Feeling: writing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
