Summary of Role:
This is a full-time exempt position. The Account Executive will be responsible for clients in our small group sector with less than 50 employees. The position includes eligibility assistance, service and claims resolution, HR assistance, benefits administration support, implementation and contract review, communications, compliance expertise, and vendor accountability for performance standards. The Account Executive has documentation responsibilities that include maintaining Salesforce service cases and updating checklists and client files. The applicant must be very comfortable with communicating with all levels of the client organization and upper management.
Essential Core Duties and Responsibilities
Carrier and Vendor Liaison for clients
Managing renewals and quoting for medical and ancillary lines of coverage
Spreadsheet plan options and present to clients
Responsible for negotiating with carriers and vendors to provide competitive quotes. Provide contract review, plan comparisons and recommendations for renewals by established deadlines
Assist in the completion of necessary carrier and vendor applications
Complete Payroll Deduction Spreadsheet at the end of each Open Enrollment period
Complete an audit of carrier enrollments vs. Payroll Deduction Spreadsheet at the end of each Open Enrollment period
Problem-resolution for ongoing or escalated issues
Proactive customer service and HR support
Maintain internal files and databases with all client data
Implementation and compliance support
Proficient in carrier alternatives, insurance products and systems
Desired Skills:
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal communication skills
Advanced MS Office skills, to include excel, word, power point
Strong client development and relationship building skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
Strong aptitude for organization and prioritization
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility in duties and responsibilities
Desired Qualifications:
5 years’ experience in Employee Benefits Administration.
Bachelor
Degree preferred.
Licensing/Certifications:
Health & Life Insurance License preferred
