** Inventory Control Supervisor****Job Category****:** Distribution & Warehouse Operations **Requisition Number****:** INVEN005476 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description****About the Position**The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, functions pertaining to the assessment and coordination of personnel, equipment and inventory to meet daily productivity goals and timelines. Additional responsibilities include the monitoring and movement of physical inventory in order to maintain inventory accuracy, and the coordination of an accurate inventory, including but not limited to physical inventory, and WMS. The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the directing of all associates in the sites Inventory Department and ensures that the inventory area meets the requirements of the customer and the site.**Functions*** Oversees the accuracy of all RDC inventory of both inbound and outbound product via Audits and cycle counts* Report any conditions deemed to be unsafe to the Operations Manager or General Manager* Ensures associates monthly safety training, and fleet safety training, if applicable* Open and/or secure the building as required* Conduct the building security audit as required* Directs inventory staff in completion of work to meet customer expectations* Review and maintain hours in timekeeping system as required* Ensures issues are communicated as required* Oversees returns and damage area daily to ensure completion of all product put away* Maintain carton inventory if applicable* Lead efforts for root cause analysis within the operation with regards to inventory discrepancies, including research and resolution. Tools used include CPAR, A3 and 8D processes to determine root cause and resolution* Ensures that all associates are trained and following all CPs, K-WINs, and Standard Work as outlined in the Kenco Quality Management System (KQMS) in addition to EIP, LM, LEAN and Six Sigma.* Consolidate quality hold product, if applicable* Coordinate zoning of physical inventory* Investigates cause of mixed stows* Coordinate stow consolidations to create space in the warehouse as needed* Organize and oversee physical inventories as directed by our customer Proactively communicate to appropriate management issues/concerns.* Prepare and process daily reports* Manage and issue mid-year and annual reviews.* Other tasks and duties as assigned by the General Manager.**Qualifications*** Previous supervision, team lead or management experience of hourly warehouse/operations employees.* High volume receiving and distribution production for a large broad line warehouse network**Competencies*** Business Acumen - Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization.* Communicate for Impact - Devoting the time and resources necessary to communicate the strategic vision, direction, priorities, and progress of the team for which you are responsible.* Leading People - Ability to develop and implement strategies to maximize employee performance and foster employee engagement in meeting the organization's strategy.* Managing Transitions / Change Management - Effectively plans, manages and communicates changes in processes with appropriate stakeholders.* Relationship Management - Building and maintaining relationships with internal partners to successfully complete projects and organizational objectives.* Strategic Agility - Gains perspective and balances the pressure between daily tasks and strategic actions that impact the long-term viability of the organization.**Travel Requirements*** This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.* A passport is not required, but recommended.**Qualifications****Skills****Behaviors****:****Motivations****:****Education****Experience****Licenses & Certifications**Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
