Job Description
SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEROne of our clients in NYC is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead and direct the Infrastructure Operations and Security Team in accordance with organizational policies and strategic goals. The Senior Infrastructure Manager is a highly technical hands-on leader who is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, security, and reliable operations of the company’s infrastructure, data centers, cloud environments, disaster recovery plan, servers, networks, phone systems, as well as core business applications and supporting software. The Senior Infrastructure Manager leads infrastructure planning and projects, manages vendors, and makes recommendations to improve the infrastructure and environments, and partners with the Vice President, Information Technology to develop the annual infrastructure budget.The Senior Infrastructure Manager serves as a public-facing member of the IT team and is responsible for the timely resolution of all infrastructure-related and end-user-related technical issues. The Senior Infrastructure Manager ensures the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient, performing optimally, up-to-date, and strategically sound, reflecting Institute’s needs and best practices in creating value for the company.Information Security Responsibilities
Attend/complete assigned information security training by the designated completion dateRead and adhere to published ISMS policies and proceduresReport timely any observed violations of ISMS policy - or known encroachments on information security - to your department leader and/or the Information Technology DepartmentEducation and Experience
A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in an infrastructure related area, during which both professional and tactical capabilities have been demonstrated, is required10+ years of IT management experience in a large IT environment (500+ servers)5+ years of packet level IP protocol analysis and troubleshooting2 Years of SAN management8+ years of process management experience3+ years managing a Kubernetes environment utilizing Rancher is requiredMicrosoft and Cisco systems certification desiredVery strong project management skills with 5+ years of experience managing large-scale projects5+ years designing and administering very complex networks comprised of Microsoft Windows and IP protocolsOther Qualifications
