Your role is key in ensuring our network operates efficiently to meet our business objectives.In summary, if you're passionate about keeping networks secure and running seamlessly, and you enjoy solving technical issues, this Network System Administrator position is a great opportunity to make an impact at Direct Edge.RequirementsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Google Workplace and Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environments.Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.Execute daily system monitoring and backup procedures to safeguard data security, ensure resource availability, maintain data integrity, and meticulously log and review application activities.Regularly apply hardware upgrades, software updates, security patches, and other essential deployments.Drive IT infrastructure automation through scheduled tasks, FTP, and other advanced techniques.Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, such as routers, switches, servers, and operating systems.Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.Conduct regular tests of backup systems to verify their effectiveness.Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity standards and security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks and deliver training to internal teams.Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard the organization's data and sensitive information to protect data and ensure compliance.Manage security awareness training among users within the organization.Provide technical support to end-users for computer hardware, phone, network, internet access, printing, and operating system related issues.Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process.Thoroughly document IT processes and workflow procedures.Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesCompetence in configuring servers, routers, firewalls, switches, workstations, printers, wireless scanners, VoIP phone systems, VLANs, Hyper-V, security, and disaster recovery.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, Mac OS, Microsoft Window Server, Synology NAS, Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, QuickBooks Enterprise, Zoom One.Detail-oriented with a strong organizational mindset and follow-through capabilities.Possesses robust analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.Capable of prioritizing and multitasking effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex environment with national locations.Skilled in conducting technical needs assessments and providing concise recommendations to management.Qualifications- Experience, EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related business field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.Experience using Project Management tools.Proven experience in network administration roles, with a strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies.CompensationThe base compensation range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
