What We Look For...As the Vice President of Sales & Marketing you will manage and develop a regional and property-based sales team and personally execute a strategic sales plan to generate and optimize room revenues that include business transient, group, contract and Banquet and Catering revenue through direct sales and leading a revenue focused team that will impact positively on a portfolio of Radiate Hospitality in Northern California and Oregon. In addition, this position will be responsible for the achievement of budgeted revenue numbers and communication of all sales and marketing efforts to achieve targets to GM's, Regional Operational team, and Executive Committee. Work in tandem with the Corporate Director of Revenue Management and all partners to achieve desired revenue outcome.This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning:Develop and execute sales and marketing plans aligned with overall business objectives.Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats, staying abreast of industry trends.Integrate business plans into sales and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's growth objectives.Brand Management:Oversee the branding and positioning of each hotel within the portfolio.Ensure brand consistency and adherence to brand standards across all marketing materials.Sales Leadership:Provide leadership to the sales teams at each hotel, setting targets and motivating the teams to achieve and exceed sales goals.Collaborate closely with property DOS's, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure the success of individual hotel sales teams.Foster relationships with key clients and partners to drive group and corporate bookings.Monitor and analyze Minimum Acceptable Rates (MAR) trends to optimize pricing and sales strategies.Financial Management:Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) performance for the sales and marketing department, ensuring financial targets are met.Collaborate with Finance teams to develop and manage budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses.Analyze Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR) index and implement strategies to enhance overall hotel revenue.Marketing Campaigns:Plan and implement innovative marketing campaigns to target diverse customer segments.Utilize digital marketing, social media, and other channels to enhance brand visibility.Revenue Optimization:Work closely with Revenue Management teams to optimize pricing strategies and revenueIdentify and implement revenue-generating initiatives across all properties.Collaboration:Collaborate with General Managers and other department heads to ensure alignment between sales/marketing strategies and operational goals.Foster a culture of collaboration and communication across the hotel portfolio.
The Model QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.Proven experience (at least 5 years) in senior/Regional/VP Sales and Marketing roles within the hospitality industry.Strong understanding of the boutique hotel and major brand segments.Exceptional leadership and team management skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans.Creative and innovative thinker.Expertise with the following tools - TravelClick Agency360 and Demand360, Opera, Knowland, STR reports, Delphi FDC, Profit Sage/Sword, Brand systems knowledge preferred.Be Bold.
