will have a proven background in inside/outside sales and/or relevant product/job experience in distribution with knowledge of PPE/OSHA regulations. The successful candidate will also possess excellent customer service, sales skills, MS Office skills and be self-motivated.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Generate new and repeat sales by providing product quotations and technical information in a timely manner.Accurately process client transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.Determine clients’ requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products, services and/or solutions.Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.Proactively recommend items needed by clients to increase efficiency and improve transaction profitability.Educate clients about terminology, features, and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and client satisfaction.Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering featured promotional sale items.Engage in sales follow-up activities.Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.Follow company policies and procedures.Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors.Excellent written and oral communication.Work Environment:This job will mostly operate in a business office, but some industrial site-visits may be required. The office is a smoking/drug free environment.Physical Demands:This role is performed primarily while seated. However, certain duties also require standing, walking, and carrying. This position does require the ability to lift and carry boxes weighing an average of 10 lbs/box.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Pay/Benefits:This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; with a 60 minute unpaid lunch. 40 hours per week.The salary for this position will be based on experience and certifications (if any). In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives and all other benefits available to full time employees, including participation in health/dental/vision/group life/long-term-disability insurance plans, 401k, paid holidays and vacation.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to be a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Eclipse system is a plus.Ability to multitask in a fast paced changing and dynamic work environment.Strong organizational skills.Works well in a group/team setting with limited amounts of supervision.
