We look forward to saying hello.Seeking a Business Development professional who will expand existing market presence in Construction Survey, Architecture, and Design Build. The VP of Business Development reports to the Executive VP of Business Development and Marketing.Partner with principals cross-sector in developing and executing an annual business plan, including the determination of target markets/clients, strategies to penetrate same or new markets/clients, and identifying the tasks necessary to achieve the firm’s revenue goals and objectives.Leverage contacts and previous clients to open new opportunities for business.Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, architects, developers, and other industry professionals.Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.Collaborate with the pre-construction and estimating teams to prepare comprehensive RFP’s (including writing key proposal sections).Secure survey, architecture, and design build commercial construction projects.Stay current with industry trends and current business environment.Update and maintain lead tracking databases with relevant information on targeted clients, contacts, and opportunities.Requirements4-6 years of applicable experience in the Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction Industries in a design-focused environment preferred.BA/BS degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Business, Marketing, or related field is a plus.Understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures in the design profession a plus.Established relationships within the industry that would allow you to generate new business.Strong communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills are required.Self-motivated and independent, while also collaborative and a great team player.
