As a Sr Data and ML Engineer, you’ll be part of the Data organization that helps drive business decisions using data and AI. You will build solutions that help LendingClub make decisions about marketing, pricing, credit, funding, fraud, investing, and many other business aspects, that is transforming the banking industry. We’re looking for a talented Sr Data and ML Engineer who is passionate about building new data-driven solutions, ML platforms, and applications with the latest Big Data and AI/ML technologies.What You'll Do

Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, build data pipelines that transform data (in the Data Lake) by business use cases and analytics.Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.Build ML platform and pipelines for data preparation, exploration, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, A/B testing for business use cases.Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and delivery of data from a wide variety of data sources.Work with stakeholders including Business, Product, and Engineering teams to assist with data-related use cases and requirements.Implement processes and systems to validate data and monitor data quality.Write unit and integration tests, document work by contributing to engineering wiki.Support Tier-2 on-call.About You

6+ years of relevant experience who is excited to apply their current skills and to grow their knowledge base.You have a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.Working experience in AI/ML platforms and solutions.Required Skills:

Strong background in distributed computing.Demonstrated experience with big data tech stack: Hadoop/EMR, Spark, Kafka, Hive and Airflow.Experience with big data formats: Parquet and Avro.Strong SQL background, especially with SparkSQL and Hive SQL.Experience building complex data queries optimized for performance and scale.Experience with AWS SageMaker.Experience with ML feature store, model evaluation and A/B testing and ML model deployment in production use case.Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python and Scala.Experience with dev tools - GIT, Jira and Jenkins etc.Experience with Agile methodology and test-driven development.Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.Nice to have, but not required:

Experience in the financial industry, especially in Banking.Experience with big data tech stacks: Snowflake, Oozie.Experience with Data catalog tools such as Atlan.Experience with Java and shell scripting.Experience with Large Language Models and Amazon Bedrock service.Work Location

The target base salary range for this position is 175,000-200,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits.
