Here at Lending Club as a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll work on the platform that is transforming the banking industry. We’re looking for talented Lead Software Engineers passionate about building new applications from the ground up and who will join a growing team in developing the products that allow our depositors, borrowers and investors to achieve their financial goals. The technology teams move fast, celebrate great ideas, inspire testing and learning, and stretch for new solutions.What You'll Do
You will implement and build out our account opening, servicing, payment systems for the bank (ACH, Wires and Checks Processing)Actively participate in code and technical design reviews with a good understanding of how code fits into broader technical and/or business contextWork with Product Management to understand requirements and contribute to release planningPrototype new ideas and coach junior technical colleaguesEnsure high testability and quality of delivered softwareWork with QA and Operations teams to troubleshoot and fix defects in softwareParticipate in building Scrum process and agile culture within the companyAbout You
You have experience working with banking system implementations, specifically related to account opening, servicing, and payment functions (ACH, Wires and Checks Processing)You have 7+ years of experience working with Java Web Services including knowledge of Spring and Micro-services architectureYou have strong database skills (SQL, MySQL, ORACLE)You have hands on experience in AWS CloudYou have solid understanding of the software development life cycle focusing on the design, installation, and maintenance of systems projects of moderate complexity, and/or, under general supervision, in elements of major or complex systemsYou can independently do business analysis, application design, project coordination, and system maintenance activitiesYou have excellent analysis capability and the ability to exercise sound technical judgment in making decisionsYou have ability to lead medium to large projects and take full ownership of system/component from development to productionYou have ability to drive the design and implementation of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainabilityYou can establish and monitor code coverage metrics, operational metrics and SLAsYou have experience working with agile methodology, test-driven development, source control management, and automated testingYou have experience working with banking system implementations, integration with banking cores, specifically related to account opening, servicing, and payment functionsYou are passionate about solving problemsYou have experience leading a team of offshore engineersAbility to work with the business and external platform providers to jointly create solutionsYou possess superb communication skillsYou are a self-motivated teammate who excels in a reciprocal environment (this is the place to take initiative and ask intelligent questions!)Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field of studyBonus Points

The target base salary range for this position is 165,000 - 210,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits.
