is seeking a
Senior Financial Data Analyst (Financial Analysis, Associate)
to work with a Federal client in Washington, DC. The Senior Financial Data Analyst performs analysis on relevant information from a variety of sources to prepare documents, reports, summaries and replies to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper format of the information provided. You would be joining a team performing a full range of functional and performance management support for ongoing financial management activities, including but not limited to support for auditable financial statements, strategic management and planning capabilities, policy and governance development, financial system implementation and maintenance, operational support, and data analysis.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in ad hoc data projects and analyses that produce actionable recommendations that build relevant insights for internal and external stakeholdersCollect data and run reports in response to client inquiriesWork closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure sound knowledge of client requirements to support development of best-in-class analytical solutionsAccurately manage required data in multiple repositories, documents and/or spreadsheetsSupport quarterly accounts payable accrual and fiduciary reconciliations and validationsSupport quarterly prepayment analysis and reconciliationSupport Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT) reconciliationParticipate in the reconciliation of Plant, Property, and Equipment (PP&E)Manage and conduct Undelivered Order (UDO) validation and audit proceduresValidate prior-year obligation adjustmentsSupport financial statement reporting proceduresParticipate in financial reporting analysis and canceling account closeoutContribute to the execution of quarterly & annual financial statement and A-123 audit requirementsProvide annual financial audit supportConduct and maintain financial data and reporting development processesAdvise on accounting operations, business process improvements, and implementation of emerging requirementsRequired QualificationsEight years or more of data analysis experienceAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial documentsAbility to solve problems involving several options in situationsAdvanced financial analytical and quantitative skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in a federal financial management environmentExperience querying or extracting complex data from a large scale database, preferably using a SQL based tool.Desired QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Access, and Adobe AcrobatKnowledge of Momentum Financials.EducationBachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeClearanceCurrent active Top Secret clearance requiredCompensationThe MIL Corporation values your contributions and offers a range of benefits to support your overall well-being. per year.
