The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for all output associated with Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) including but not limited to annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting, and special projects for client and account team. Also responsible for overseeing month end close on the account.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages one or all of the following: budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and month end close & reporting.Establishes overall account Finance and Accounting priorities and ensures that all internal and client deadlines are met.Supervises finance staff including training and managing job performance.Reviews and approves balance sheet account analysis and standard consolidated reporting packs.Reviews and approves certain monthly journal entries.Directs other special financial and business studies and other duties as assigned by management.Produces a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses for senior management and client.Manages special projects and prepares presentations for senior management and client.Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees on the finance team. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business related field. Requires a minimum of six years related experience to include at least one to three years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Public accounting experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required (depending on experience).
