National Award-Winning Engineering Firm is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer who is highly motivated, qualified, and client service-orientated Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering. This position will be in the Chicago or Milwaukee office.

Responsibilities

Oversee, design, and implement electrical engineering projects

Experience in the design of commercial building electrical systems

Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications and technical drawings

Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, principles, concepts, established procedures, and be able to work closely and communicate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors

Resolve issues and ensure work is completed according to specifications

Responsible for balancing project management and engineering tasks

Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation

Conducts maintenance and testing on electrical systems

Electrical engineering (power, lighting, systems, and low voltage) for the commercial built environment

Assisting in the procurement of new work including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

PE license

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and Project Management for commercial building projects

Ability to write technical reports and documentation

Ability to perform all electrical engineering tasks associated with the projects from proposal, design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimates to client reviews

Knowledge of electrical equipment standards is required

Knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting, and fire alarm systems

Good decision-making skills, flexibility, focus on quality, and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities

Ability to work independently on project design tasks

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
