DayFundamental Administrative Services, LLC seeks a Senior Counsel to provide advice and services to Company and its client skilled nursing facilities located in multiple states.(Open to remote, home based - must live within driving distance to Sparks office)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Act as legal advisor to Company, its Senior Leadership and its client facilities related to their business in the post-acute care industry.Manage and oversee contracting for Company and provide contracting support to its client facilities.Provide day-to-day legal support to client facility and Company leadership on a variety of regulatory and compliance issues including but not limited to:o Responding to government/regulatory inquiries to provide information in a timely and accurate manner.o Responding and providing guidance to client facilities on emergency issues.o Assisting facility leadership complete investigations into incidents that could result in litigation.o Responding and providing guidance to client facilities on a variety of issues arising daily out of their business, including but not limited to, resident rights, discharges, and admissions.Work with Chief Compliance Officer to identify and resolve potential compliance risks and issues.Supervise outside legal counsel on a variety of matters.Review and provide guidance to Company and client facilities on social media and marketing initiatives.Review and revise policies and procedures.Requirements:J.D. from an accredited institution.Active Bar license in the state of Maryland.3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney; while not required, we are extremely interested in candidates with in-house experience at a healthcare company or at a law firm practicing healthcare law.Contracting experience required; preferably in the healthcare industry. Must be able to draft, review, analyze and revise relevant agreements that range from vendor contracts to IT service agreements.Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with a strong team orientation.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal support services.Working knowledge and understanding of the application and interpretation of Federal and state regulations laws governing the delivery of care in a post-acute care setting such as Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback laws, and False Claims Act.Professional demeanor and presence and ability to communicate and work effectively with team members and senior leadership across all Company departments.
