Description

Rush Creek Lodge & Spa is looking for an experienced massage therapist to join our wellness team with the ability to perform Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Reflexology & Hot Stone Massage. We are seeking a massage therapist that provides high quality service while creating a welcoming, professional and clean environment for clients. We are looking for someone that is passionate about what they do, bringing a warm and positive attitude to the Wellness team.

Qualifications

California requires employees in a food service role to complete an ANSI-accredited Food Handler Program. This will be completed during your onboarding if you do not already have a Food Handlers Certification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Attend in-house training with the ultimate goal of being able to perform all massage services offered at the Spa as described in the Spa Menu.Teachable and open to new ideas and developing new skillsMaintain a calm and welcoming attitudeLearn, demonstrate, and adhere to sequence and protocols for each massage service added to the skill set.Demonstrate thorough familiarity of Spa services by performing professional recommendation of next experience for guests served in a meaningful and relevant manner.Provide professional recommendation of retail products with the goal of 10% product sales to service revenue.Suggest service enhancements to improve guest experience and treatment goalsRetain guests by consistently providing excellent customer service. This includes anticipating guest needs, listening, and adhering to the standards for spa guest service.Encourage local guests to return and maintain a wellness self care regime.Communicate guest issues to Spa Management.Promptly greet guests and provide spa guests with a tour of spa facilities when needed. Escort guests to and from the treatment room.Perform services keeping guest satisfaction as priority, while running on time for the next guest.Clean and sanitize work area as per departmental policies and state standards.Remove all soiled linen from the massage room(s) and deposit in the designated area.Operates all tools and equipment needed to perform the Spa such as hydraulic tables and heated equipment that enhance services but required to be maintained for safety.Report all broken equipment to management immediatelyStock and organize massage room(s) with appropriate linens and supplies leaving the room ready and picture perfect for the next guest.Maintain a flexible work schedule including weekdays/weekends, holidays, and during peak periods of business.Attend vendor training and events as assigned in order to offer well-informed recommendations to guests to facilitate continued wellness.Listen well, communicate effectively, and establish working relationships with other staff, management, and guests from diverse backgrounds.Speak, read, and write the English language and communicate in a clear and congenial manner, with our guests, visitors, and employees. Hear verbal instructions, directions, and warnings.Adhere to dress and grooming standards; presenting a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance and maintaining a positive, professional image to our customers.Inform supervisor of hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to security of guests, employees, or hotel assets.Work productively and efficiently with or without supervision when performing tasks.Prioritize and meet time goals in a calm professional manner.Learn and retain knowledge of facts and information about Rush Creek Lodge, Evergreen Lodge and Yosemite National park to encourage guest engagement and vacation experience.Physically fit to provide up to 6 massages per day which includes, walking , twisting, bending, stooping , kneeling, crouching , crawling, reaching sitting, climbing stairs and liftingAssist with spa chores such as laundry, restocking, sweeping, wiping down counters, deep cleaning and whatever is assigned by managementAct calmly and professionally in stressful situations.Demonstrate high moral character in handling lost items and valuablesIdeal qualifications include:
