SENIOR SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER / CONSULTANT

WASHINGTON, DC

InfoReliance has an opportunity for a Sr. SharePoint Consultant to deliver development support for our cabinet-level Civilian Federal government client in Washington, DC. For this client, both at the parent agency level and for all sub agencies, InfoReliance provides e-mail, collaboration, office automation, eDiscovery, and records management services as Software as a Service (SaaS), leveraging the Microsoft platform.

Last year, InfoReliance led the migration of the client’s 25K+ users from on-prem Exchange to Office 365 Exchange Online for email services.

We are now engaged in several work streams including development and expert guidance for collaboration using MS SharePoint. At the HQ level, we are implementing an enterprise SharePoint 2013 solution, including definition of governance model, requirements gathering and analysis, customization of 2013 sites and workflows, and the introduction of SharePoint Online into the environment.

Most sub-agencies continue to run in a 2007 environment and are in need of custom development and migration support as they take action to improve their tools and experience while taking advantage of 2013 advancements in functionality.

As we lead our customer through transitions, we are seeking a customer-focused SharePoint Developer and Consultant to support them.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE TASKED WITH DELIVERING A VARIETY OF SHAREPOINT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT TO OUR CLIENT AND ITS SUB-AGENCIES SHAREPOINT, BOTH ON-PREMISE AND IN THE CLOUD (OFFICE 365). As requests for solutions come in to our PMO, you will work with the client and program leadership in order to prioritize and support the delivery of custom solutions. The work will entail largely custom workflow development, dashboarding, and form creation.

You will have a highly consultative role, often working on site directly with sub-agency technical leaders and staff, and must be skilled at customer interaction and management.

ON THIS PROJECT, YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

Understand key client objectives; diagnose and map client requirements; articulate solution risks and barriers; recommend delivery approaches; prepare time to complete estimates

Design, develop, test, and deploy SharePoint-based applications and workflows based on business requirements.

Validate performance by developing and conducting test scripts; completing bug fixes

Manage customer relationship by communicating standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues

Prepare technical documentation, and work with our Technical Trainer to develop business user training on portal functionality and custom solutions

Throughout the projects you will participate in status meetings on progress, priorities, issues, performance issues, and future work.

IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:

Deep SharePoint expert with a broad range of real-world experiences.

At least 5-7 years’ experience with advanced knowledge and in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, 2010, 2013 (desired), and Office 365(desired); SharePoint Designer; Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and

SharePoint Foundation 2010 and 2013 (desired), as well as the Office 365 Client Side Object Model (CSOM)

Experience with

custom workflows, Business Intelligence dashboards, Site collections, Sub sites, Master Pages, Lists, Custom Lists, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, custom WSPs, Office 365 Apps (desired), provider-hosted apps, and optimal deployment processes

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices

Microsoft SharePoint certifications; MCSE SharePoint is a major plus

Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Test-Driven Development
