Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Security Architect/ Technical Engineer to join our team on a multi-year contract basis. The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance the security posture of our cloud environment, specifically focusing on AWS. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite as needed and should be located within driving distance.
Responsibilities:
Understand the current security posture and identify potential risks in the AWS cloud environment.Remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with customers, IT developers, and other relevant stakeholders.Update and improve disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.Provide hands-on technical expertise in areas such as VMX or NetApp, Linux skills, and infrastructure as code.Collaborate with teams to conduct code reviews, identify security issues, and suggest remediation strategies.Engage with customers or IT developers to modify and enhance cloud practices and configurations.Implement and maintain AWS security services, including Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM-role boundaries.Develop and utilize CloudFormation templates for automating security-related deployments and configurations.Be available for on-call duty to promptly respond to security incidents or emergencies.
Requirements:
Extensive experience as a Cloud Security Architect/Engineer, with a focus on AWS.Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and the ability to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.Proficiency in VMX or NetApp, Linux skills, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and highlight security issues.Familiarity with Azure and experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.Deep understanding of AWS security services, including Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM-role boundaries.Prior experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
