DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Google Cloud Engineer
to provide SETA support to SAIC’s Program, Landmark in Chantilly, VA. Landmark is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
As a
Google Cloud Engineer , you will design, implement, and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GCP services into the program's architecture. We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience in GCP technologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Configure and manage Google Cloud Platform resources such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
Automate deployment processes using infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs.
Integrate cloud-based applications and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services and tools
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with networking concepts in GCP (e.g., Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancing)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
